The Fort Hunt Herald, an all-new publication devoted to covering the news, issues and items of interest to the residents of Fort Hunt, Belle View and the greater Mount Vernon area.
The Fort Hunt Herald, founded by former Mount Vernon Voice co-publisher and writer Steve Hunt, and Hybla Valley resident Lori Ostrow, co-owner of James Blair Media, will continue the tradition of providing local news, gathered and published by local residents who are members of the community. (Former Voice co-publisher and editor Marlene Miller will be a regular contributor to the Fort Hunt Herald, as well.)
In the Fort Hunt Herald, readers will have unlimited free 24/7 access to the latest news affecting all aspects of the community, ranging from transportation and growth, matters before the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Fairfax County School Board, crime, local business, the environment, features on people and events of interest, and more.
The Fort Hunt Herald will also serve as a conduit where readers are welcome to voice their concerns and provide feedback in an open forum. We encourage public participation on all sides of any issue in the belief that it is communication that makes a community stronger and improves the quality of life for all.
As a for-profit company, we will be relying on the business community to realize the value of advertising affordably in a publication that serves the community where their core customers live and shop.
